LCFF, LCAP and AB484 - Find out what they mean for you

There is a lot of information about Local Control Funding (LCFF), Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) and Assembly Bill 484 available. You might be wondering how all this impacts you.

In the past, districts were given money and were told how to spend it (categorical programs/funding). Now districts will receive funding based on demographic profiles of students (LCFF).

The district will decide how to use the funds. Under this new funding formula, our district will need to create a plan (LCAP) that details the district's vision for students, annual goals and how the district will meet these vision and goals. The state has identified 8 priority areas that must be addressed.
